The Ford Foundation
The Ford Foundation provides grant money to CITL under their Internet Freedom Initiative, which supports the growth of savvy, technically sophisticated, diverse organizations dedicated to advancing a stronger and more inclusive internet.
Consumer Reports
We work with Consumer Reports to determine how our metrics can be incorporated into their product reviews, where commercial products have a software or firmware component.
The Digital Standard
As one of the groups contributing to the Digital Standard, CITL works with other consumer advocacy focused organizations to create a digital privacy and security standard to help guide the future design of consumer software, digital platforms and services, and Internet-connected products.

Become a Firmware Partner
We are researching and investigating how our desktop software analysis techniques and procedures can be applied to IoT devices. One major hurdle in this effort is obtaining enough examples of firmware binaries from real devices to get a broad coverage of the product space. If you are part of a research, government, or nonprofit entity with access to IoT firmware images and interested in a partnership to share data and results, please let us know!
